The Coptic Heritage Society of Alberta

"Our ancestors have built a great civilization in Egypt 7000 years ago, and we want to share this great civilization with Canadians today."

The Coptic Heritage Society of Alberta (C.H.S.A) is a not for profit organization incorporated under the laws of Alberta.

The objectives of the society are to:

  1. Help new landed immigrants by supporting them and their families to settle into their new home in Canada.
  2. Raise awareness regarding the Coptic history, culture, music etc through heritage festivals, publications of articles, hosting of cultural festivals and
  3. Participating in other public events.
  4. Raise awareness of the Coptic community’s contributions and Coptic individuals in the Canadian society today.
  5. Teach the traditional Coptic language to adults and children of our community. This is one activity the society strongly supports and believes is an integral part of the Coptic Heritage.

 

The business of this society is managed by a board of directors consisting of six members.
